How to edit an image with AI
- 1Upload an image you own or have permission to edit. Avoid confidential or sensitive records.
- 2Write one clear instruction describing what should change and what must remain unchanged. Choose an aspect ratio only when you want the canvas expanded.
- 3Generate the edit, compare versions in the history strip, and open the result for a larger preview.
- 4Continue with another prompt, use the erase brush for an ordinary object, adjust zoom or fit, then download the selected version.
AI image editing FAQ
Can I continue editing a generated result?
Yes. Each new instruction uses the currently selected version, and up to eight recent versions remain available in the browser tab.
Does background removal always produce transparency?
The AI is asked to return a transparent PNG, but complex hair, glass, shadows, and model limitations can affect edge quality or transparency. Review the preview before use.
What does the erase brush do?
It sends the original image plus a black-and-white selection mask to the AI. The selected area is reconstructed from nearby visual context, so results may vary.
Can I edit receipts, IDs, or payment screenshots?
Cosmetic edits must not change the document's meaning. Requests to alter amounts, dates, identities, status, or other factual evidence are rejected.
Appropriate use cases
- Clean up product photos, replace ordinary backgrounds, or adapt compositions for storefront and social media layouts.
- Remove distracting objects from personal photos and reconstruct uncomplicated scenery.
- Adjust lighting, color, atmosphere, or visual style while preserving the important subject.
- Extend a scene to square, portrait, story, landscape, or widescreen layouts and iterate with follow-up instructions.
Processing, privacy, and limitations
The selected image, optional erase mask, and prompt are transmitted through this site's protected server route to the configured cloud AI provider. Results are probabilistic and may change unrequested details, spelling, faces, or edge pixels. Recent versions are held only in the current browser tab and are not a substitute for keeping your original file. Review every result, respect copyright and privacy, and do not use generated edits as documentary evidence.
